Editing a DNS record Print

To modify records for your DNS, follow the steps layed out relevant to the record of which you want to alter.

  1. Log into the Webworx console, found here, or by going to our homepage and under Support, clicking on Console.

  2. Fill in your credentials, and log in.

  3. When in the Control Panel, click on DNS.

  4. Select the domain of which you wish to update.

  5. Open the DNS tab.

  6. Click on DNS Records.

  7. When in DNS Records, click on Add New DNS Record.

  8. Under DNS Record Type, select A record, and enter the prefix of which you want in the Domain area, and enter the IP that you want to direct the record to point to. Once completed, click finish.

Your A record should now be ready to use, however allow time for the changes to propogate.

  1. Log into the Webworx console, found here, or by going to our homepage and under Support, clicking on Console.

  2. Fill in your credentials, and log in.

  3. When in the Control Panel, click on DNS.

  4. Select the domain of which you wish to update.

  5. Open the DNS tab.

  6. Click on DNS Records.

  7. When in DNS Records, click on Add New DNS Record.

  8. Under DNS Record Type, select CNAME record, and enter the prefix of which you want in the Domain area, and enter the address that you want the record to point to, ensuring there's a fullstop at the end of the Canonical name. Once completed, click finish.

Your CNAME record should now be ready to use, however allow time for the changes to propogate.

  1. Log into the Webworx console, found here, or by going to our homepage and under Support, clicking on Console.

  2. Fill in your credentials, and log in.

  3. When in the Control Panel, click on DNS.

  4. Select the domain of which you wish to update.

  5. Open the DNS tab.

  6. Click on DNS Records.

  7. When in DNS Records, click on Add New DNS Record.

  8. Under DNS Record Type, select MX record, and enter the prefix of which you want in the Domain area, and then proceed to enter the mail exchanger address that you want the domain to point to. Once completed, click finish.

Your MX record should now be ready to use, however allow time for the changes to propogate.
